Cashew cream

  • 2 cups cashews (soaked over night ideally otherwise at least 2 hours in boiling hot water)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 tbsp salt (black salt called kala namak gives even more a cheese flavour)


Put the cashews in the blender. Add the water, salt and syrup to it and mix well. It depends on how strong your blender is if you have a blender that isn’t so strong you probably might need to add some more water to get a nice, creamy consistency. Make sure to scrape the sides in between as well so there are no nuts or bits of nuts in the mix. 

Add some more salt to taste, you don’t want it too slaty but you also don’t want it too blend, just find a good balance here.
