Walnut Brownie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup oats 
  • 1,5 cup walnuts (1 cup for meal, the rest saves to the end) 
  • 1/2 tsp himalayan salt 
  • 8 dates (soaked) 
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup 
  • 4 tbsp cacao 
  • 1 banana 
  • 1 cup melted chocolate

METHOD

Blend both the oats and the walnuts so it becomes meal. Be careful with the walnuts use one cup to make the meal but save half a cup to decorate at the end! Then add the cacao and blend well together. Add the salt banana and maple syrup. Then let the blender run low and one by one add the dates in so slowly it becomes more of a paste and solid mixture. Stop the blender when that’s done. 

Meanwhile melt the chocolate. When that’s done add half a cup to the mixture and save half a cup. 

Prepare a baking tin by lining baking paper in it. Then add the mixture and make it nice and flat. 

Add the melted chocolate as a topping and cover it completely and evenly. 

Then last thing add walnuts to the topping. Let it set in the fridge for a few hours and you’re in business!
